is 42-year-old david rich of gaithersburg. he is being held without bond. he is being charged with first degree murder for allegedly killing his stepdaughter, jessica nguyen, nearly five months ago. her body was found with multiple stab wounds in the basement of her home according to the washington post, which has seen the charging documents in this case. dna evidence led to the arrest. it came to a sheath of a small sword. police had swabbed the sheath for dna. they tested it against everyone who lived in the home. at first no one matched, but something changed between then and now. he was included as the major contributor to the dna material found on that sheath. the press conference starts at 11:00 today. we do know there was tension between both the little girl's mother and her now alleged killer, her stepfather. the two had been in divorce proceedings throughout the entire last year, leading up to jessica's death. back to you mike. >>> in another just awful story, the worst fears of friends of william mcquain and even those of police came true. the missing 11-year-old boy was found
had a lot to hide, including secret marriages. tracee wilkins is live in gaithersburg with more. tracee, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, eun. they say he was married to several women at one time. at the time of this young girl's murder, he was also in the process of divorcing her mother. police arrested 42-year-old david hitrich hang, the stepfat of jessica nguyen. the police also learned that hang works as a driver at the montgomery ride-on bus system. 12-year-old jessica nguyen was found stabbed to death in the family's gaithersburg townhome on the evening of may 31st. her grandmother was the one to discover the child's body. friends say the shy petite girl often expressed fear of her stepfather, the man now under arrest for her murder. police have been very tight-lipped about this ongoing investigation, but today around 1 11:00 a.m., we're expecting to hear from chief major, and he's going to explain why the stepfather is the number one suspect in this case. i'm tracee wilkins live this morning in gaithersburg. back to you all in the studio. >>> the stepfather of 11-

. on the left, 12-year-old jessica nguyen was found dead in the basement of her gaithersburg home last may. yesterday, on the right, miss believe they found the body of 11-year-old william mcquain in clarksburg. william had been missing for more than two weeks. officers and volunteers were all involved in the intense search. police found the remain in a wooded area just west of route 355 in clarksburg. there are some signs of trauma to his body. discovery comes about a week after william's mother was found murdered in their germantown home. those who know them obviously are devastated. >> william was the greatest, most beautiful, wonderful, cheerful child in the entire world, entire world. and there is no reason that this should have ever happened to him. >> we were neighbors and she had such a giving heart and she did such a good job with her son and she loved him and lived for him. >> jape mcquain's estranged husband, curtis lopez, was arrested in north carolina. he will be extradited to maryland in the next 10 days. >>> more now on the case of the 12-year-old found dead in her gaithersb

travel companion, gary giordano of gaithersburg, says that she was swept away while the two of them were snorkeling. giordano remains in police custody in aruba. well, today, prosecutors are expected to call the detectives who investigated michael jackson's doctor, conrad murray. it comes a day after the court heard more testimony about what doctor murray was doing on the day that the singer died. kendis gibson is at the courthouse with more information. >> jurors could hear from dr. conrad murray as soon as today. prosecutors are expected to play audio from an interview police had with michael jackson's personal physician two days after the singer's death. jackson died from an overdose of the anesthetic propofol. pharmacist tim lopez said he shipped 255 vials of the drug to murray. >> did conrad murray ever disclose to you he was michael jackson's physician? >> no. >> lopez said murray claimed the drugs were for his los angeles clinic but of there no clinic in l.a. and murray actually had the propofol sent to the apartments of his girlfriend, nicole alvarez. she testified that murray c
